Location: Charlie our 10 year old White Winged Parakeet escaped from Heritage Dr, Berlin, Hartford County, CT, US, 06037 on Nov 24, 2024. The cross street to this is Chamberlain Hwy (route 71) Berlin, CT 06037. Charlie flew high up and we lost sight of him. He may have flown toward the area of Chamberlain Hwy in Berlin, CT. The Meriden, New Haven County, CT city line is just down the cross street of Chamberlain Hwy (route 71 South), Charlie may have also flown in that direction. He is a green parakeet with yellow, white, and blue colored wing feathers that are noticeable while in flight or when the he stretches his wings. He is very tame and loves people, he may fly toward a human and attempt to perch on a shoulder. A reward is being offered for the safe return of Charlie or for any information that leads to his safe return. We searched for days with no success and given the freezing temperatures in CT, it is unlikely Charlie survived unless he was found early on. That is our last shred of hope.
