Pet FBI Report for a Found Dog in OH, 43035

Location: Columbus Pike, Lewis Center, Delaware County, OH, US, 43035.

Comments: Is anyone in the Lewis Center / 23 & Powell area missing a super sweet black and white male pit mix? I spotted him bolting through the Meijer parking lot, headed straight for Route 23. Several people stopped to help, but no one recognized him and most were on lunch?so they left when he took off again. Thankfully, someone pulled up with Beggin? Strips, and helped me guide the dog toward my Jeep. So grateful for him. I had my female pit in the back, and that caught the pups attention just enough to get him to put his paws up on the passenger seat. From the driver?s side, I was able to pull him in?reluctantly, but safely! He clearly had a collar at some point and was incredibly gentle when taking food from me. He?s great on a leash, listens well, and clearly gets along with other dogs. He seems like someone?s beloved pet. I called the sheriff, and they directed me to the Delaware County Dog Warden. I hate the idea of displacing any dog, but he was about to run straight into traffic & I couldn?t risk that. So on the way there, I stopped to grab him a burger and some chicken nuggets. He got lots of pets and love. I?ll be checking in on him often to see if his family shows up. If not, I?ll do everything I can to find him a loving forever home. Please help spread the word! Let?s get this sweet pup back where he belongs.
