Pet FBI Widget for Lost and Found Pet Reports Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Pet FBI Widget for Lost and Found Pet Reports (“Widget”), a web component provided by Pet FBI - Pets Found By Internet. By installing, embedding, or otherwise using the Widget, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Widget.

1. Description of Service

The Widget allows you to display lost and found pet reports from Pet FBI’s database on your website or application. The Widget and underlying data are owned and maintained by Pet FBI, a nonprofit organization.

2. Permitted Use

The Widget is provided solely to help share information about lost and found pets. You may use it for nonprofit, educational, or community purposes that align with Pet FBI’s mission.

You must provide Pet FBI with a description of your intended use case before implementation.

3. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to alter, adapt, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to modify the Widget or its underlying code in any way. Any unauthorized modification, derivative work, or tampering with the Widget is strictly prohibited.

You may not:

• Use pet data for any commercial purpose, including selling, reselling, or monetizing the data or surrounding advertising.
• State or imply that Pet FBI endorses, sponsors, or certifies your organization, website, or application.
• Use the Pet FBI name, logo, or trademarks without express written permission. You may not include “Pet FBI” in your product, app, or domain name.
• Attempt to access, modify, bypass, reverse engineer, decompile, or sublicense the Widget, data feed, or related systems.
• Cache, store, or redistribute data obtained through the Widget without Pet FBI’s written consent.
• Use the Widget in any way that violates applicable law or harms Pet FBI, its partners, or its users.

4. Data Accuracy and Availability

Pet FBI strives to maintain accurate and up-to-date information but makes no guarantees regarding the completeness, reliability, or availability of the data provided through the Widget. Pet data is user-generated and may contain inaccuracies.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Widget and all related data are provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. Pet FBI disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Use of the Widget is at your own risk.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pet FBI shall not be liable for any damages—direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or otherwise—arising from your use or inability to use the Widget or data, even if Pet FBI has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. Modification and Termination

Pet FBI reserves the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Widget or any part of it at any time without notice.
• Update or change these Terms as needed. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
• Remove access or terminate your use of the Widget if you violate these Terms or if your use is deemed inconsistent with Pet FBI’s mission.

8. Ownership

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Widget, the Pet FBI name, logo, and data remain the sole property of Pet FBI and its contributors. No license or ownership rights are transferred through your use of the Widget.
